WHAT: Lisa starts prying for details re: Len's memory share
WARNINGS: Injury warning for the link, will update for this log as necessary, but none at present.
Lisa gave it a few days before she launched the inquisition.
Len was never prone to over-sharing, and there was something about the nature of it all that had Lisa wondering if she should ask at all. But she was curious. She wasn't even upset that Mick had beat her there, because that was a whole other kettle of fish she was having entirely too much fun observing.
But there was the matter of the fact that what she witnessed was clearly a memory. Something in the past. Relatively speaking. And also the fact that as far as she could tell, Len's hand was perfectly fine now.
So, on a day when she's particularly bored and had entirely too much time to think entirely too much about all the things she's sure Lenny isn't telling her, she makes sure she's home just a little before he is. And lets herself into his room to wait for him.
She's sitting cross-legged on his bed, smiling that perfectly-innocent smile that means she's anything but.
"Don't be mad," she leads with, just in case, but just as much as acknowledgment that she's not even remotely sorry for invading his space.
"But I wanted to ask you something."

At least he's fairly sure they're past most of that now, but there's plenty of things he's not telling her. He still looks relaxed as he walks over to the bed, sitting down across from her, leaning back against the wall. "What's up?"
no subject
So she smirks, spreads the fingers of her right hand, wiggles them a bit. Then her expression sobers and she frowns, looking from her hand to his face.
"I saw something last week," she starts. Then chickens out.
"You and Mick having a moment."
no subject
It's a useless tease, because obviously there's more to this than there would be normally. With his, their Mick. With anyone else. But ultimately, is it really that different? Leonard doesn't even know. So the tease is easier than any real examination.
"See, Lis, it's like that." He leans forward, clearly mocking. "When two people like each other very much..."
no subject
"I swear to God, Lenny," but she's smiling again. For a moment or two and then she huffs out a sigh, annoyed again, with herself more than anything, and finally looks him in the eyes.
"I meant what I saw before the moment," and she knows that's not clear and fidgets a moment herself, takes another breath.
"Your hand." Because it's easier to focus on the obvious than to ask what the hell got him into that situation.
no subject
Now he'll have to start actually explaining. That's less of an issue. The question is where he'll be able to stop. "I went on a little trip. What you saw? On a space ship. Advanced technology, explains the regrowing."
no subject
So she's asking now.
"Start at the beginning," she requests, dubious. "You were on a space ship, handcuffed, where you froze your own hand off then regrew it?" Everything about her expression is asking How?

But he knows his sister and he's not risking getting punched, so he relents finally. "I got recruited by the guy in charge of the ship. Rip Hunter. He put together a team to take down some psycho."
It's a very abridged version and he knows it won't suffice. "Vandal Savage. He's immortal, a tyrant. Rip Hunter wanted to stop him from rising to power, kill him instead. So we travelled through time to do that."
